Well, wouldn't it depend on what you win? if it was a free, all expenses paid trip to Iraq, I'm not sure I'd *want* to win that, instant or otherwise. :}

The chickenhawks in the Senate have been trying to do it ever since this little mess in Iraq started. The DoD, which seems to actually contain people who are smarter than the average Republican Senator, has said "OMFG No!" a number of times, but at this point, the only way they're going to be able to do an extended occupation of Iraq (with possible sorties to Iran and maybe a couple of other places we don't like) is with draftees. The draft is coming back, it's just a scheduling question.
