(no subject)

it turns out i have a sinus infection. i started antibiotics yesterday, and am starting to improve. i woke up three times in a cold sweat last night, which is very unusual, maybe a little alarming. i contemplated stopping in at Diesel last night, but didn't, because i wasn't feeling my best. i also wasn't sure i should be there; which i guess is stupid. what are the qualifications for "going to Diesel" on Tuesday nights? it's a public place fr Christ's sake. i still feel kind of stupid and don't know what i can offer the Poly Boston group...i guess that's why i didn't go in.
it would've done me some good, probably. i haven't seen my friends in a few days and i'm going a little stir-crazy.

as i peer into the sad carnage of the Pringles canister...i see the crumbled remains of the beautiful, whole curved chips of yesterday...

if only i had caught the 2pm train home...i could be having tea. more precisely, i could be holding a hot cup of tea up to my face. but i spent 90 minutes at lab meeting looking at worm porn---male mating habits in C.elegans. it's obvious i should've stayed home from work today. i had to bring up the new liquid nitrogen tank today---usually i'm really efficient with this, but today my sinuses are killing me and i was coughing up a lung. i was practically in tears by the time i got that fucking job done and scraped the writhing lung off the floor... physical labor is a BAD idea when you have a respiratory affliction... i need some medicinal tea and i bet Diesel has some...especially something with ginger.
