viewing the tigerlily morning sun through the trees, from my seat overlooking the city...this apartment really is beautiful on a sunny day. i can see the tops of the buildings in downtown Providence from here in the common room...it's a friendly city, one i don't mind driving around in. i have taken many exits off 95 to see if i can find my way home, and i always do. it usually takes longer than it should, but at least i can follow my nose. and i don't mind the rude drivers here---for some reason they're easy to ignore.
i left work early yesterday because i was throwing up. actually, for a while i couldn't even drive home, because i felt dizzy and didn't feel comfortable driving the 45 highway minutes to get home. given the nature of my job, i have no intention of staying around when i've puked. i had this same problem late on saturday. something is up with my ears---they hurt, and i feel somewhat dizzy. and my stomach did not like the coffee i just had. i am calling into work today because i really need to see my doctor. conveniently, my mom and i share a doctor, and she had an appointment today that she's giving to me. i think i have an irritated stomach lining because i take OTC pain relievers every single day i'm at work. as for the ear stuff, i probably have an infection, i'm not sure. i know i'm not looking forward to driving 2 and a half hours to massachusetts today in this condition, but i guess i'll manage.
i got some new shoes yesterday. a consolation gift for myself because i felt like crap. they're the same nylon Reebok sneakers i had in middle school, black with white soles, a racing stripe, and white laces. these are old-school sneakers, form before Vans were popular. and i got two pairs (a white pair as well) for 29.95! most of the time the sneakers i buy cost me 60 bucks a pair. if i want spectacular arch support i'll get some insoles.
