Setting the pH of Tris buffer is like trying to get rid of nausea after a long night of drinking to excess.
You add a little, and a little, and a little more(HCl/water), and keep checking the status. You hope and pray that you won't add too much and plummet to pH1/throw up.
I've been trying to titrate this Tris buffer _all day_ and I've only gotten one of four pH values I need. Incidentally, I also feel like throwing up. Hence the metaphor.
Thanks for listening to my cheery thoughts. Have a pleasant day.
