cellomusette: (rei)

originally, the plan was to go into work today. however, the mono vampire visited and drained my energy again. i also got smacked with that sore throat and headache last night, and the headache remains. just for kicks, i called to get the results of my second blood draw, and sure enough, i'm a strong positive for mono.

my major concern with going back to work is that i'll strain my immune system and contract a secondary infection. could be strep, a cold, anything. my immune system's already pathetic, so if i were to get a cold right now, i'd have it until March '05.

i'll admit i'm getting bored with this staying-in-bed routine. i'm wondering who's taking care of my cell culture duties. i'm curious about the progress of those enzyme assays.

ok, and i'm officially out of fruit. suck.

zinc supplements and green tea both boost your immune system...

...apologies if you knew that already

hope you feel better!

Echinecea (sp?) tea as well. I think we have some; I'll bring it down when I get home if you like. I warn you, though, it tastes like crabgrass.

thanks...i'm familiar with the grassy flavor of echinacea tea. i have a box of it from trader joes, actually.
good idea...might as well take the box of tea to work and keep it on hand.
