Medical mission accomplished, thanks muchly to
r_ness for taxi-ing me over to MGH! I'm very lucky to have friends who will do me favors like that, even when they haven't known me long. Y'all are wonderful. *hugs*
I found the walk-in clinic easily. I got seen after waiting an hour or so. A rapid culture test determined that I don't have strep. However, they're doing a blood test to determine if I have mono. Not sure when I'll get the results back for that test.
I feel a hundred years old. My joints hurt to the point where it was painful walking short distances and I'm tremendously glad I'm home for the night.
Our stove, sink, microwave and dishwasher are now operational as of today. However, I'm not sure where my one cooking pot is, my vegetable knives are all packed away, and I'm too weak to go shopping for produce. So I'm still fucked in that department.
No work for me tomorrow, that's obvious.
*Edit: I found my cooking pot...dug the huge garden zucchini my mother gave me a month ago...amazingly, it was still fresh and useable. I think my mother grew mutant zucchini. Wouldn't put it past her. I chopped it up and steamed it, and I am now eating it with miso broth.
Ohhh, there is a god...
