as a distraction, or maybe a desperate measure, i picked up some clairol 24-shampoo color in reddish brown. trying to get back to natural, you see. i'm not naturally a redhead, but if you apply ashy colors to light hair, you get GREEN.

(not a GOOD green, either. think, army fatigues gone baaaad. tried it when i was seventeen. never again!)

the clairol didn't work out really well---the result is kinda like faded redhead. but hey, it's better than ash-accident green.

i should go back to the store tomorrow and get something more along the lines of, say, brunette.

or maybe i'll throw some fuschia pink on top and see what happens? i feel an experiment coming on...

At least, not yet. Talk to a professional, please...
Coming from a family with a mother, aunt, and grandmother who are/were hairdressers, don't f with your hair too much, too often, in a short span of time. The chemicals are still in there and will react with whatever you put in there next...affecting results. That's why people who get perms don't get colored the same day...too many chemicals. The wait should be at least 2 weeks. This is just a suggestion and I know you color often...but just remember how cottony your hair was, broken all over and such, back when you colored like every week in the big J. The wait will be worth it; the color will be more what it's supposed to and not react with what you just did, and you'll have less chances of having to do yet another experiment. I just don't want you bald if you don't want to be. If that's what you're shooting for, I won't stand in your way. :) All I'm saying is, I know hair...take your seatbelt off and park it for a bit, let it settle....then go nuts. :) Call me! Going to your area tonight.
