freyja and penguin42. they gave me a belated birthday gift: a certificate for Newbury Comics! do you guys know me or what?
then i went home. roommate was in her room with a pile of papers and the space heater on. our heat went out! i didn't really notice it, because i rarely get cold, but she was in a hat and multiple sweaters, and still shivering. she offered to take me over to and/or so i could sleep in a warm place, but i declined. next thing i know, it's 3:30am, and the poor woman comes in to tell me she's been throwing up and that her head aches. at this point, i am A)very sad that this is happening, and B)realizing that in comparison i really have it easy. i made her some chamomile tea with honey this morning...but jesus, isn't there a limit to what your job should be putting you through?
