Dec. 20th, 2004 01:10 pmThe apocalypse is here!! Little white fluffy bits of poodle and persian cat are falling from the skyyyy!!
Nope, I was wrong. It's just snow.
I personally like the snow, because it makes the air temperature seem warmer outdoors. I think it might increase the humidity too, which is great for my lungs. I might actually make it to True Grounds for a cup of coffee and not hit my gag reflex coughing.
I am making a big pot of black bean soup. I hope it turns out well since I'm missing onions and can't make it to the store to buy any.

my ex-landlord sent me a christmas card which arrived today. it contained my security deposit check.
aaaand, there's one month of rent here I don't have to worry about! :-D
I also have a chunk of birthday money I've been sitting on. all of this money will go into savings, not checking. transfers are easy and all, but why not just kinda....forget I have it for awhile? yeah, that'll be good.
I want to get over this damn bronchitis, so I can join the YMCA and start swimming again. the membership is only 36.00 a month. my immune system has serious difficulties, and if I get physically fit, I think that will help. and I like having energy.
my eating habits have improved. I mostly cook at home now (thanks to the kitchen from heaven!!!!!), and don't eat very much takeout. my intake of fruits and vegetables is high. when I do eat out, it tends to be sushi.
I'm unemployed. I don't have much to do right now. this is the time to really get fit, to get myself to the pool every day, to start weight-training, to pay attention to how much water I drink, to take my vitamins and herbal supplements.
good health is sexy. IMO, it's sexier than any specific body shape, haircolor, or physical feature a person could have. for me, being healthy means taking some weight off via exercise and not eating food that has zero nutritional value.
hopefully I can remember to call my asshole primary care doctor tomorrow. I need to ask him for some asthma medication that will stop the incessant dry hacking. I don't have time for this shit, and I know there's medicine for it, so he'd better get on it, or I'm gonna keep calling him until he does.
