first day at work

i got lost on the way to work and had a nervous breakdown. you'd think that were a bad omen, but the rest of the day has kicked ass. the lab here is four times the size of the one i used to work in, and there are no fumes. everyone has a bachelor's degree here and we have a break in the morning. and everyone is nice.
so i have a real job again, this time with a real company, and everything's going well so far. go figure.

sunny day

my drive home from work went without incident. i found everything easily. traffic this morning scared the shit out of me; there is nothing like trying to figure out where the hell you're going in rush hour traffic with a million cars trying to drive straight up your ass and honking at you when you try to correct yourself. driving in the boston area SUCKS. i will be sticking with public transportation east of Framingham for quite some time.
fortunately, my job doesn't suck.
not to say i don't feel like a doofus there. i guess i'm in that acclimation period.
