Very late snack: 3 rice cakes with cashew butter and honey, 1/2 cup unsweetened soymilk to wash it down

Breakfast day 5: decaf organic coffee with unsweetened soymilk, 1/2 serving of UltraInflamX

Spinach and mushrooms sauteed with garlic and olive oil

Changes I've noticed:
+complexion is improving
+digestive system is working normally (first time in over a year, I think)
-some detox symptoms, like headaches, fatigue, increased nasal allergies
-leg pain from standing up at the stove/sink to cook

I'm cooking up some really fantastic food, out of necessity. It's like having your car break down and having to walk to work through a beautiful meadow. Kind of.

what kind of detox diet are you doing? and how long is it?

actually, it's a food sensitivities elimination diet. i had an expensive blood test done that told me what all my food sensitivities are, and i'm avoiding all of the reactive foods. i call it "detox" because i'm actually getting withdrawal symptoms from the foods i'm not eating anymore. also, yeast was one of the reactive foods, so i'm supposed to avoid sugar and refined starch and eat tons of vegetables.

plus i'm taking herbs and vitamins and stuff that help detoxify the body. i love to geek about this stuff, i'm happy to talk more about this if you ever want to.

why did you get the blood test done? for medical reasons or to lose weight? sorry if im getting too personal but i love detox diets and such.

nah, it's not too personal. i have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and depression. i'm on disability. treating my food sensitivities could potentially help me a lot---hell, it might even get me back to work, eventually. i do need to lose weight, but that's a health issue also, and it's related to all the other stuff that's wrong with me.

some detox measures i've taken, besides eliminating foods:

lemon juice
olive oil
green tea
fish oil
flax oil
specially-prepared vegetable broth
flaxseed, ground
milk thistle supplement
vitamin C
