I can't fucking believe this.

R.I.P., Daisy.

Mom had to put her down this morning. It was sudden. She had a blood clot.

She was my favorite cat. She was a lap cat, always very affectionate. I can't believe she's gone. I really don't know what to do with myself right now, except post a bunch of stupid pictures.

I'm sorry.

Years ago, one of my cats ("Elsie") was suddenly hit with a blood clot too, and I had to make the decision to have her put down. It's very sad.

In Daisy's case, there was no option for treatment. I wasn't there when the clot happened and her back legs started dragging. My mother called me in partial hysterics to tell me about it. I suppose I should be grateful for not having to be present for it.

Not exactly sure...she was one of my uncle's cats, and we inherited her after he died last June. So it's like losing a part of him too. I think she was about 12.

I'm so sorry... *hugs* That's the one problem with cats--we tend to outlive them. :-(

My condolences on your loss.

(My cat Tversky was also put down after he suffered a paralyzing blood clot, though in that case the cause was fairly clear: he was on diuretics due to a heart condition.)

Oh, poor kitty.
I wasn't there when it happened, being still in Westford and all. Maybe that's for the best.

Oh man...that's incredilbly sad :( I'm so sorry, she looks like she was a wonderful cat. *hugs* Is there anything I can do for you?

Thanks.

I don't know what can be done, outside of cloning her. ;) Bringing her back from the dead might result in a zombie cat, and we don't want that...of course, if you find another little white lap cat, you can always mail her to me, that would probably help. ;)

She was a great cat. I'm glad I got to have her in my life for awhile.
