(no subject)

While anotherjen and I were out getting groceries, I dragged her to Kotobukiya. I got myself a little chunk of sashimi salmon that I can't wait to have...unfortunately I'm physically dead right now. So I have to rest before I make any goodies.
Another pot of black bean soup is brewing on the stove.
I have mushrooms with which to make Hungarian mushroom soup.

I'm becoming a foodie, if I wasn't one already.

not a good sushi day, I see....
one variety of Nishiki rice, short grain white, works very well and is easy as hell to prepare.
I tried cooking hauntmeister's rice last night and it didn't work.
this medium grain rice I got today is not sticking to itself.
for some reason this is very depressing.

this stupid rice issue is pissing me off....might have to go back and get the same bags I bought before. (I so don't have the energy for this)

maybe I'll have plain sashimi, no rice, no seaweed. fuck the rice.

maybe it's not work because I've been feeling really ill for the past 36 hours and am not able to focus on what I'm doing.
but really, how hard is it to make rice? uughh...
