I saw an RCN bill on the tabletop last night. I opened it. I found a service shutoff warning inside the envelope.
(yes, the RCN bill is in my roommate's name, not mine)
You know, in order to pay the bills, you have to open them. I really don't understand why we ended up with this past due amount.

I'm off to NJ until tomorrow night.

As of yesterday, we finally know what we're doing with all this data I've accumulated. I fished out the holes in my data and have started filling some in. This is really satisfying!

I wish I had more skill with the data presentation software, because I'm finding Claris Draw to be really awkward. I don't know anything about PowerPoint. Experiment planning is creative in some ways; data collection invokes my procedural memory; data analysis is where I need the most work. It's a confidence thing. I'm afraid my conclusions will be all wrong and people will think I'm an idiot. It's only paranoia---I am actually smart and possess good analytical skills---but with everything going well in other respects, I'm reluctant to shine a spotlight on an area of less experience.

I love what I do. I love the people I work with. I have an actual personal desire to complete this project and present the results. After all the BS of my previous jobs, these are shocking realizations.
