180 degrees

So far, this home visit is going extremely well. Picking me up from the bus stop, Mom said "I hope we can get along this weekend." My reply="Yeah, I don't want to fight with you, I love you too much."

Mom and I shopped at Goodwill yesterday; very successful visit. I spent 30 bucks on kickass clothes. I stopped at a department store too and picked up some naughtywear for an upcoming party, light pink.

We met with her therapist, and I said to them, "see, there's no real important conflict between Mom and I. We just fight with each other because we can't address the problems we have with others."

Right now the mother is bitching at inanimate objects. She's done this a couple of times since Thursday. I just sit quietly, and then suggest she might wanna calm down, and then look at what she's doing and see if I can help. If she keeps bitching, I just tell her that her tone of voice is bothering me and I'm going in the other room.

Ok, so that response right there, is a REALLY big deal.

G came by last night; we had decaf espresso and cake, and drew pictures in India ink and aquarelle. Now Mom and I are off to Great Barrington.
