hell yeah, i be all artistic and shit
Aug. 25th, 2002 07:51 pmso i got drunk off ONE BEER last night. it was a Grolsch. i recommend you try it. it's light and not too bitter, not pissy like Corona or generic and watery like Bud Light. and it comes in a purty green bottle. i was just about to close my eyes, it was about 11:30, and my mom called. we had a 45 minute discussion while i sobered up. no one ever notices when i'm intoxicated. i've always been good at hiding it, except that my face gets all pink.
slept until 6am, then inexplicably couldn't get back to sleep. made a cup of warm milk with brandy and took a pill. slept until 1:30...i was exhausted form my six day work week... woke up and had bagels and tea, then spent a couple of hours finally finishing my drawing that i started almost a month ago, with the Spectracolors. then i went to AC Moore and picked up a real display portfolio, with clear plastic protectors, and put all my good stuff in it. i'm really proud of the stuff i've done during the past three years...i think it's actually worth buying. my technique has gotten a lot better.
one of my dreams in life is to take a year off and be financially supported while i focus on producing art and making music. someday i might have the savings to do that, and go on "sabbatical". or maybe a rich relative will take me in. i could get lucky.
tomorrow i'm going to Staples to make copies of some of my pieces.
one thing that bugs me is that i can't find my scanner. my room is a disaster, that's why. (when is it ever NOT a disaster?...) i've decided that when it gets to the point when the average daily temp is under 70 degrees, i'm going to systematically clean and reorganize my space.
