i'm keeping a paper journal now as well. i sit in the sun on my lunch break and write whatever comes into my head. you really can be your own psychotherapist to a certain extent.

it would probably be smart of me to make myself something to eat. but instead i've foregone dinner in lieu of canadian whiskey on the rocks. yay, i've taken up drinking again!! i also have no real food in the house that i want to eat, and i just got my insurance bill today. it's gone from 378 to 431 a month so i can't really afford to buy groceries anyway. i'm not skinny. i won't starve to death. maybe i'll be better for not eating for a few weeks!

(on a side note...in nine months, when my year in extractions is up, i'm going to push like HELL to get a position in Genzyme General in Cambridge. i will get rid of my fucking car and use public transport until i save enough to buy a cheap, reliable-enough used car that i don't have to pay collision on. Safety Insurance can bite my ASS. with ketchup. and then maybe i can sue them for personal injury! to my ass! hey, Jennifer Lopez insured her butt. so can i.)

yesterday it was cool in the house when i got home from work, so i cleaned the kitchen up and picked up my stuff out of the practice room. i also left my housemate a check for the remainder of my rent. she should be pleased with me right now, but i haven't seen her yet and i probably reek of ethanol. oh well. so i'm a bit tipsy. shoot me.

when my car was broken into a couple of weeks back, i think the thief took my colored pencils. it was an old box of 72, not worth much today, but i can't draw anything without them. this really blows since I'm in the middle of a piece right now. i can't finish it until i buy a new set. and i'm aiming for the full 120-color set, since it's pretty much the only medium i use and i plan to be much more productive from now on. given my overtime hours this week, i think i'll be able to justify the expense by the next pay period. this is very exciting. i've been wanting to upgrade for several months, and i should have done it when i was still at my last job and had the shit car and cheap insurance. stupid me.

i feel my allergy to humans being alleviated. it's a good thing. as martha stewart says.

gross, i just quoted martha stewart.

I bought Lamb's first CD this past weekend...it's this mix of jazzy vocals and electronic beats and strings, sampled and non-sampled. I am unbelievably sold on this band now thanks to certain sources of musical exposure...or whatever you call it...

i have just one item to discuss with you.

Bananas Fried in Sweet Cream Butter.

Oh,

My,

God.

If you cook them on high-ish heat, they'll caramelize somewhat. and then you have caramelly bananas. you can also add brown sugar but if your bananas are ripe, you don't need to.

I encourage you to buy bananas, now. Go!
