so when we go in to work on our day off, we do it to make extra money and to create good karma for ourselves, right?
so how the fuck did i luck out that my car was broken into in the company parking garage, and over 200 of my CDs were stolen from out of the backseat today?
normally, this would be my day off. normally this wouldn't have affected me at all.
but really, can anything else happen? and how the hell is it that i can park illegally in a random parking area in BOSTON, at NIGHT, and leave unscathed...but parking my car on private property at work gets me fucked over?

but think about it. that's over 2 grand worth of CDs, that i've been collecting since eighth grade, gone just like that. some days there just aren't enough glass bottles to throw at the brick wall. jesus mother christ.

my mother talked to my cousin's father today. she found out something interesting.
one of the things that upset me most about my cousin's death was that he was only 21 and had a number of years ahead of him. it turns out the doctors were hiding something important from Matt and his parents.

when they did a brain scan on him after his car accident, they found a large tumor in a "difficult" spot. it was probably malignant. they chose not to tell Matt or his parents until after he got "better" from the accident. so he might have traded a slow, morphine-soaked and miserable death for a quick and painless one.
in which case, i'm kind of glad for him. i'd already seen him suffer enough times.
