stability shall be miiiine!!!
May. 4th, 2002 08:33 pmi made an important decision late last night to live in framingham near my job instead of in the boston suburbs. my car might not be up to that sort of commute every day, and i don't want to spend an hour on my way to work when i can spend fifteen minutes.
it was a good perspective-providing day. early on, it became apparent that the room i looked at in the cellist's house was the largest and most attractive one i would find on short-ish notice.
today mommy and i took a fieldtrip to framingham, to check out a couple of apartments. both were occupied by Genzyme employees. the first was in a complex, and i was offered a small boxy room by a very nice biotech geek named Al. he even offered to help me move. the second was also nice, but not an option because i wouldn't have my own bedroom. both these apartments required a security deposit upon move-in, which i haven't got unless i beg for money last-minute.
also, i noticed something interesting. the bedrooms i might have stayed in were only half to 3 quarters the size of the one i looked at in the cello lady's house, and the rent was the same or higher! also, Suzanne only requires a 30-day lease, while the others need a one year lease which is something i try to stay away from. and she's really nice, has a lot of tea, and plays the cello. now that i've simplified my stuff down to a few useful pieces, i can function having one room to myself completely.
that said, i'm moving in next Friday. in less that a week i'll have relocated completely.
