It could be that now that the weather is getting colder, the air is getting dryer. I'm not sure why olive oil isn't doing the trick, maybe your lips need a different combination?
I really like Burt's Bees beeswax lip balm. It's got a little bit of mint in it, so it makes my lips tingle. Very nice. :-)
