my coat arrived from Land's End yesterday. i wore it today. i enjoy the fact that it's sort of easter-egg blue; it goes nicely with the Bauhaus shirt i have on. perfect, a bright pastel coat with a depressing black teeshirt! i love to keep them guessing. nothing else in my life makes sense, why should my clothes?

last night was very strange. i got a sinking feeling in the afternoon and felt down the rest of the day. when i got home, i had a nice 30-minute conversation with my mother. then i poured myself a bourbon on the rocks and fell asleep. i woke up at 2 or 3 in the morning and ate a sandwich. if i have my way, i'll become an out-of-work alcoholic just in time for Saint Patrick's Day 2004. (that was a joke)

wouldn't it be positively grand if i made it to Porter in time to get a vanilla coffee? that will be my goal, then.

i feel like an idiot.

Dunkin' Donuts french vanilla with cream and sugar is my poison of choice these days. pretty conventional, but if it works, it works, right?
