philosophies of the day

Kind of a slow day. I'm supposed to be formatting data, but someone's using the computer I need. Probably just as well, since I seem to be in ADD mode today. Jumpy brain cells! Been that way most of this week, really. I'll probably go to sleep and dream about fluorescence histograms tonight. Or sushi. Or...uh, nevermind.

I am not a controlling person. There are a few things I really don't like, though. Here's a nice list of five:

1. Double standards. Leaving rolled-up bedding all over the living room doesn't bother me. Doing that and then scolding me about clutter? Problematic.

2. BS, especially when it's filtered through fancy language. I'll see through it eventually. Tell me the truth, not what you think I want to hear. And plain speech is fine.

3. Living one's life in a constant state of stress over small details.

4. Controlling behavior! I'm easygoing. It's easy to take advantage. After awhile I will notice that and it will annoy me. I already have a Mom. Don't need another!

5. Passive aggression. If I'm bugging you, tell me. I'll listen. Otherwise, you can't hold me responsible for your feelings.
