Hey folks,

[livejournal.com profile] happyfunpaul and myself will be sharing a Budget moving truck on the
21st to move our stuff, and we could use some help! Here's the
schedule and relevant info:

Hannah's Move
Starting Address: 38 Sewall Street, Apt. 1, Somerville, MA 02145.
Time: 10 am (Sunday, August 21st)
Ending Address: 187 College Avenue, Apt. 1, Somerville, MA 02144.
The Plan: load the ten-foot truck up with furniture and boxes, drive
over to ending address, stick everything in the basement (my permanent
room's not ready yet).

Break for lunch around noon.

Paul's Move
Starting Address: 56A Cedar Street, Somerville, MA 02143.
Time: around 12:30 pm.
Ending Address: 39 Thomas St., Medford MA 02155.

The usual bribes apply. :-D

Thanks a lot, and hope to see you there!

0. Had a wonderful nap AND got to bed early last night, which means I'm very well-rested today for the first time in awhile. *relief*

1. I finally got the flow cytometry kit to WORK. YES!!! I'm getting high counts, and peaks on the histogram, and dotty goodness. Now I can feel competent again! WOOT!!

2. Hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] theartemisiaway, who I haven't seen in way to long. YAY!

3. Going to see Batman Begins either tomorrow or Thursday with [livejournal.com profile] rantmaster and [livejournal.com profile] eisa. Housemate bonding!

4. Getting a carload of cruft schlepped over to the basement of the new place. Yay for stuff I don't have to transport later on!

5. Who knows what other goodies this week has in store for me?

of all the things stress does to me, I'd say the early morning insomnia is one of the most annoying.
ok, so the stomach upset and general GI tract badness is awful too.
I'm having some of both right now. I woke up at 3:30am, and couldn't go back to sleep because my stomach was bugging me.

I'm _so_ close to getting living details taken care of. once it's finalized, I can go back to sleeping and digesting normally.

Ok, that roommate interview was actually a lot of fun.

Good vibes, good vibes!

W00t, another roommate interview on Thursday with a dog owner. 30, female, unusual name...I don't think English is her first language.
She owns a Bernese mountain dog.

For example:

Everybody on the count of three:
*awwwwww*

I think I'm becoming a dog nut.

Does anyone have a decent digital camera with which I could take photos of my apartment-to-be? Reason being, one of our potentials is in Southern California and can't visit the place before her move-in date. We would be arranging things via conference calls and photos.

If anyone can help me out with this relatively soon, i.e. within the next week, I'd muchly appreciate it. That said, we have some good options right now and might not need to take the pictures, but I figure hey, the more we screen the better, right?

Pasta is not doing it for me right now. Need protein.

the roommate wrote me back, she's fine with everything I'm doing to get us a renter. no need to worry that I'm being too pushy, yay. I'm talking to a young couple who needs a space---the woman's starting a grad program in music or music ed at Tufts this fall, and their picture showed them with necklaces made out of yellow flowers. (ADORABLE.) thank you, Craigslist...

had a fun and relaxing evening with [livejournal.com profile] trowa_barton last night, although I was showing signs of exhaustion...I'm glad I have friends who are patient with me when the Off switch gets hit automatically at 10pm. *hugs* these people who subsist on 4hrs of sleep night after night---what are they taking? can I have some??
I've switched from coffee to (usually non-caffeinated) tea. it's easier on my stomach, which has been acting up due to stress.

yeah, that's all I have to share right now. :)

whee!

The rental company accepted my application! I'm in!!
cellomusette: (Heero thinking)
That was FAST.

So, it's almost completed. The apartment's been chosen, the housemate has invited me to move in. I picked up a rental application, filled it out, and faxed it in. When I called to verify the fax had gone through, the woman answering the phone knew my housemate by name. I'll take this as a good sign.

Now the only thing to do is wait and hope everything goes through smoothly. Thinking positively, using Rescue Remedy, trying to focus on my work.

Tomorrow's Friday, and whatever I do, it'll be directly related to decompression. Phew.
