cellomusette: (rainbow brite)
I am thinking about replacing it.
Things going wrong with it:

1. The "Recovery" E drive has been saying it's full for over a year now. With my limited computer savvy, I haven't been able to figure out what's safe to delete, or why it's overfull in the first place.

2. The CD drive doesn't recognize discs anymore. I can't watch DVDs on the computer. I can't play or rip or burn CDs. Boy, does that SUCK.

3. My power cord is breaking down. I've got it taped with electrical tape, but it still only works at certain angles. My computer kept randomly shutting down overnight, and I finally figured out that this was why. It was running out of charge!!

4. The thing just feels gunked up. It doesn't run as fast as it used to.

The computer stopped working without a power cord about six months after I bought it, and they came and had to replace the motherboard. Six months, and the motherboard dies? Hmm. I don't put my PC through heavy-duty use. So I'm wondering if I should try to get the thing repaired by people who aren't from the Dell company, or just bite the bullet and put money down on a new Mac laptop. It's what I should've gotten for myself in the first place back in 4/09.
